Sailing is a rather unusual choice for two people living in the mountain village of Oppdal, 550 metres above sea level, but for us it's completely natural, hence Fjellmatrosene.
In the winter, the boat comes to rest while we pursue another of our passions, skiing the mountains. Perhaps that's why we enjoy exploring and sailing cold waters at high latitudes.

About us;
Katrine works as a Police Superintendent. She is a former world champion in whitewater rafting, professional rafting guide and avid whitewater kayaker.
On one occasion when she was bored, she decided to take her kayak out on the turbulent waters of the Zambezi River.
Henrik is now retired. He has worked in emergency medicine for 40 years, first as an ambulance worker and then as a paramedic. Of those 40 years, 30 were spent rescuing people with the Norwegian Air Ambulance. In his spare time, he was also a keen diver and diving instructor. He finished his working career as a captain at Whale2Sea and on the safety vessel at Andøya Test Center.
The yacht;
Koopmans 47 - MOON -
This gorgeous boat, built in 2001, is a perfect blend of style, safety and practicality. It's like a modern version of the famous Norwegian "Colin Archer" boats, with its sleek design, long keel, and advanced features, making it a safe and comfortable vessel. The fact it's already sailed around the world just goes to show that it's got the best qualities built into it.
